Mike Underdown was born when the world was young into an old Portsmouth family. He looks like a cross
between Compo and Eric Morecambe and didn't grow up - just sideways.
Mike tried unsuccessfully to play the Trumpet for many years until he was told to blow the thin end not
suck the wide end! This affinity with Jazz started at Grammar School. Mike has been driving school
masters, pals, wife, children and now grandchildren balmy talking about it ever since!
Mike is proud to have been with the new Victory from the start, hoping to make you smile whilst making
your feet tap. In his spare time Mike poses for Garden Gnomes and deflates Zepplins.
That is what Mike wrote of himself, he does have a wicked and infectious sense of humor!
What I can also tell you is that Mike has been broadcasting for over 20 years and
believes there should be no barriers in music - Good music is good music, whatever it is called. - Ed
